JJ's Dedication

I tell you, this was probably the coolest Mother's Day ever! I have no pictures of this particular day to post but Justin and I dedicated JJ to the Lord on Mother's Day. We had several family there to support us on raising our son with Christ in our home and our lives. What a honor and a privelege it is to give back to our heavenly Father the blessing of our son and a promise to God to raise him with Godly principles. JJ is such a wonderful blessing to us and we are so happy and hope the best things for our son! JJ has shown and taught us so much already. The joy and impressions he has and will leave on our hearts is to powerful for words to even describe. What a JOY!!!! We know God has a wonderful plan for this little boy and we can't wait to see what God has in store down the road for him. It truly is a delight to see now how JJ loves for us to pray with him at bedtime and mealtime. I think it is a wonderful value we are instilling in our child and our prayer is to continue to raise him up into the man God has called him to be and to teach him how to serve the Lord everyday. And we are striving for that everyday even when we have not so good days. Our prayer is that someday our little son will become a young man on his knees.
Justin Jr. 2 weeks old at his first Birthday party!
When JJ was 2 weeks old, we had a birthday party at our home for Abigial. Robin got her the biggest water slide I have ever seen. In fact it was two slides side by side with a little pool at the bottom. The kids had so much fun and so did the adults. Cheryl held the hose and sprayed everyone as they went down and the guys had baby soap they covered themselves with to go even faster. All the men where having races with each other and seeing who could get the most air going down. Justin I think had more fun then the kids. They really love their Uncle Justin! I of course had to try the slide too, but I waited for all the kids to leave in case I didn't make it up the ladder. It indeed was a lot of fun, but rough on your feet climbing the ladder.
All my family got to meet and hold JJ. He was pooped after being passed around all day. So his first birthday party was a hit. We will have to get him that slide one day so he can experience all that fun too!
Road Atlanta Trip 2007
Road Atlanta race was the weekend of November 3-4. Frank and Justin went down Thursday night and had practice all day Friday. Cheryl, myself and Justin Jr. joined the guys in Atlanta Friday night. It was a short and very cold trip, but we had a lot of fun. It was good seeing Justin in his racing suit again!

Oh Susan and Justin, I so much wish we could have been there to see J.J. dedicated. Even though we are far away, we will pray for your little man that he will grow up to be man of God. He is so blessed to have parents like the two of you who pray with him and who are praying for his future. We love y'all and we miss you. I wish we were closer so we could spend time with y'all. Love, Vonda, Ian & Ella Rose
